High Chief Daniel Chimezie Okeke, PhD, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency in the 2023 General Election, has formally declared his interest to once again contest for the House of Representatives.

The declaration was made during a meeting with APC stakeholders, party executives, and members of Mezie Abia Mandate from Arochukwu and Ohafia Local Government Areas, where leaders and supporters commended Chief Okeke for his sustained philanthropic activities and developmental contributions across Abia State. 

Speaking at the gathering, stakeholders applauded his leadership qualities and urged him to step forward to represent the constituency at the National Assembly, citing his capacity, experience, and strong grassroots connection.

In his response, Chief Daniel Okeke accepted the call to serve and officially declared his intention to represent the people of Arochukwu and Ohafia Federal Constituency. He expressed profound appreciation for the support he received during the last general election, assuring supporters that the trust reposed in him would not be taken for granted.

Chief Okeke noted that his renewed ambition is focused on consolidating existing political structures, strengthening grassroots participation, and advancing a people-centered legislative agenda aimed at development, empowerment, and effective representation. He emphasized that with unity, commitment, and faith, progress remains achievable, adding that “God is with us.”

He further reaffirmed his commitment to purposeful representation, promising to be a strong and consistent voice for the constituency in the House of Representatives, while advocating for policies and projects that will improve the welfare of the people.

The declaration has since generated positive reactions among party faithful and constituents, who described the move as timely and strategic for the future of Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency.
